ASUS EEE PC 1215N SPOTTED WITH DUAL CORE ATOM D510 PROCESSOR Intel is expected to officially unveil its dual core Atom processors for netbooks any time now. The processors are coming, we are told, and maybe that is true but Asus doesn't want to wait. The company has already announced a netbook with a dual core Intel Atom processor. The upcoming Asus Eee PC 1215N netbook will reportedly have an Intel Atom D510 dual core processor which is meant for use in desktops and not netbooks.
The Asus Eee PC 1215N will also feature NVIDIA's second-generation ION graphics which should enable 1080p HD video playback on the netbook. It will have also NVIDIA's Optimus technology that would automatically switch between the ION graphics and integrated Intel GMA 3150 depending upon the task you are performing. Rounding out the specs are a 12.1 inch HD display with 1366 x 768 pixels,VGA and HDMI ports,3 USB 3.0 ports and a flash card connection.
